No, It’s Not a Holiday Inn

Sheraton Maui “Resort”
With the room rates starting at $500 a night and climbing, one might expect to find first class amenities as well. Granted this is a pretty old hotel, but why not an upgrade? At the very least, a counter top; to put yout toiletries on is expected in a “First Class” hotel. As a “Kamaaina” I pay half that, but still think there should be a convienant place to put my hairbrush and tooth paste. Tell me I am wrong!

They have the best view but it is the worst hotel. Life is a tradeoff. Complain with tact and make any suggestions that seem appropriate in writing. I just asked Cadillac to make me a Station Wagon with a paint job inspired by Charlie Sheen’s bowling shirts on TV. We will see.

You’re not wrong to expect a shelf or some counter space. I go crazy in bathrooms like that! Am I expected to put my toiletries on the back of the toilet, or on the floor? Ugh and shudder!
