Here’s another reason that I remain so non-political. Former U.S. Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told ABC News that he lied repeatedly about having an affair with 42-year-old Rielle Hunter, but said that he did not love her. How sweet is that?
The National Enquirer first reported on the affair in October 2007, and Edwards denied it, saying, “The story is false; it’s completely untrue, ridiculous”.
Edwards went on to say that he has not taken a paternity test but knows he is not the father of her child because of the timing of the affair and the birth. To add insult to injury one of his former campaign staffers claims he is the father. Who Can You Believe?

The story gets even jucier; In 2006, Edwards’ political action committee paid $100,000 in a four-month span to a newly formed firm run by Hunter, who directed the production of just four YouTube campaign videos, showing Edwards in informal settings as he prepares to make campaign speeches, talking about “who he is.”

Right On Ron; I doubt if there’s a decent one among them. The last good politician was John Kennedy and he may have been the biggest womanizer of them all.

Listen folks, this stuff goes on day and night in and out of politics; it always has and it always will. BIG DEAL!!!
The only thing that has changed is the media’s coverage of it. In Kennedy’s time the media had the good sense to look the other way, and those around the president kept their mouths shut about it. We had “cover”; now we get “coverage”.

If you are married, it is better not to even make eye contact with someone you are attracted to. Run in the other direction. Weak, weak, weak, humans are weak, unless built up super-strong spiritually, Satan uses immorality as one way to get us to break. Immoral behavior is so very pervasive in our society, and hormones…
So sad. At least she didn’t have an abortion. There is an innocent life to love. They fell in infatuation, or love, or addiction or obsession with each other. No one is perfect. He probably could have cheated with many others, and more often. Even David committed adultery with Bath-sheba. Had her husband killed when she became pregnant. He was sorry and God forgave him, as long as he didn’t do it again, but oh were there consequences! Their child died, and his descendants had problems. John Edwards is paying in many ways and will for many years to come. Lesson for all of us.
