Hi Ron,

It surely gives ME Goosebumps everytime I hear you tell the story about Jimmy and how he got to "play at THAT level"..... It is a true inspiration and once again goes to show that if you wanna do something really precise and accurate and "Top Notch" then you sure cannot have "other things" on your mind at that time....
Cheers to you and Jimmy and boy would I have loved to "hang" with you guys during those days.....

It is so true about being focused. Every time I relax my intensity or detract the level of my focus, I lose. Sales requires 100% of everything: focus, calmness, etc.

YES: My active clients have each person start the shift by reading one chapter from Retail Selling Made Easy (about two minutes) and write in a log book for all to see what they got out of it. I think of this as "batting practice." PS Here are the stats on Jimmy: http://mlb.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=114414#gameType='R'&sectionType=career&statType=1&season=2013&level='ALL' When I see you next I will share some wild stories about hanging out with these guys in the 60's. One was a breakfast that Fregosi arranged for me to have with Joe DiMaggio.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the inspiration with the story about Jim. Being a Cub fan my whole life I have known and not liked him for years because he is a winner, so I was on the other end. I am trying to instill this thought in our managers and associates so they start their day in the batting cage or on the practice tee. However I still think they find it as a challenge to start out with sales role play, they turn on their computers and the day takes a different direction. Do you have any advice on how to get them into a pattern of role play first thing? Go Cubs!
