Here They Go Again
Who’s the Worst?
As both candidates prepare for tonight’s presidential debate, my stomach is turning already. If you believe what approximately half of the people in America are saying, both of these people are “bad guys” that will ruin America. If half the people in the country are right, then both candidates are wrong.
I remember days when we had to decide which of two “good people” would be the best person to lead America. I’m afraid those days are gone. As I watch the ads from both sides today, I feel major disgust. With so many important issues surrounding us, I find it appaling that these two campaigns are digging deep into the mud to find past faults with the other.

Senator McCain will rule this debate and be back on top in the morning. Yeah, there’s a lot of dirt being tossed around, but it’s obvious who is covered by the most mud.
Mr. Obama will be forced to tuck his tail between his legs and head back to his Chicago hood. He is just not in this league.

I share Ron’s disgust. They need to stick a rag in Palin’s uninformed, squeaky mouth, and the two leaders need to grow up and act like the leaders we need.
It seems like Joe Biden is the only one of the three that is remaining civil.

Ron’s right; this is awful. Todays speeches and ads have brought me from undecided to definitely decided. There’s no winner here. Either way we are stuck with a loser; I’m going fishing on November 4.

It’s pretty clear to me that if “Reality Check” were to decide this “race” it would be based on “race” alone. My bigger fear is that he’s not alone, just more open and not so subtle about his prejudices.

Hopefully the truth will be revealed tonight about Obama and his ties to Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Rev Wright, and ACORN. He is an empty suit… and bad to the bone!

mauijeff illustrates just what Ron is talking about in this post. I am so tempted to fight back by listing McCain and Palin’s negative associations, but won’t. I have read a long list from both sides. Ron’s question is a good one; “How can two such awful people be admired by so many American’s?”
Honestly I don’t think either of them is as awful as their competition paints them to be. It would be very refreshing to hear one of them say, “I’m not here to throw mud at my worthy opponent, but rather to state my case, and tell you the things I would do as president should you give me that opportunity.”
Right now is a wonderful opportunity for someone to take the hight road. Where the hell is Ross Perot when we need him?

Blah… Blah… Blah…
I don’t give a rap about “who hung out with who.” or “Who did what.” and “Who said this or that.”
I want to know who will end this freaking war, and when, who will do something to protect the planet and its wildlife, who will stand up for what’s right, who will end this bitterness, who will do what to make this world a safer and happier place to be.
Who and What going forward, they all have good hindsight.

I too can remember a time when presidential candidates respected each other and spoke about each other with a high degree of dignity. It was a big deal if one were to go “negative.” Today, or at least in this campaign, negative comments are the majority. I hate to see an ad come on my TV, and I shudder to think of what’s going to happen in today’s debate. I wonder if it’s because neither of them have any worthwhile programs to present, or if they are just nasty people to begin with.
While both are at fault, the McCain campaign seems to be the worst. I guess they are freaked out by the polls, and feel that discrediting Obama is their only hope of winning. If they were to win that way I would still see them as losers.

Freedom Fighter says that he (or she) is tempted to present a list of McCain associations that are as bad as Obama’s. What I am thinking is NOT! You don’t have a list, whereas McCain has a long list of bad guys that are buddies with Obama.
We’ll see who has the biggest gun at the debate. This will be a shootout for sure, and you will see Obama shooting blanks whereas McCain (and Palin) both know how to shoot with real bullets.
Let the fight begin…

DULL - DULL -DULL!!!

Congratulations Senator McCain.
Back to the hood for Obama!

Nothing New. I think this would have been a better debate if McCain had answered the questions. I also found McCain’s sarcastic and snide comments were completely out of place. YUK!

Wow, am I fickle! I woke up this morning undecided, by noon I wasn’t even going to vote, and now, after listening to and watching McCain’s condescending, irresponsible and immature reactions to Senator Obama, I am suddenly an avid Obama supporter.
I think that McCain bought into Palin’s nastiness over the past few days, and thought it was the way to go. He was rude, disrespectful and downright stupid. That’s what happens when fear and anger take over. I think that he should throw in the towel right now, otherwise he is going to suffer a huge and well deserved defeat on November 4th.

John McCain; “Hero to Zero in 90 Minutes.”

Now I’m feeling so sorry for that scared old man. He had it all going his way, houses all over the country, a rich young, attractive wife, and the admiration of all America. Now he is being crushed and humiliated by this young whipper snapper coming up from nowhere, first beating Hillary and now him. Three debates; 3 and 0.
I think he should bow out gracefully before he embarrasses himself and the rest of of us any further. If this campaign doesn’t kill him, being President would, leaving us with that wicked woman from Alaska.
Tough stuff politics.

When push comes to shove, Senator Obama and his friends on the far-left will always tell you one thing and do another. They say the troops have their support, but turned around and voted to take away critical funding for our men and women in uniform. They talk about cutting taxes, but turn around and vote for tax increases. They say they’re for energy independence, but won’t support crucial off-shore drilling efforts. We just can’t trust them to lead.

I watched part of the debate with the volume completely muted. Then I listened to part of it without watching. Under both circumstances, McCain came across as arrogant, smug, petulant, and breathless. Obama came across as relaxed and confident. As for their words, who can say what’s true about what they “will do”?
