Hikaru Genji Performer visits Hawaii

While at the pool today Masae recognized Kazumi Morohoshi, who is a part-time Hawaii resident. Morohoshi is very well known in Japan, performing with the very famous pop group Hikaru Genji. He was kind enough to pose with me and give his permission to post this photo in order to surprise Masae’s nieces, Mari and Hana in Japan.

Our music teacher is an ex-Japanese Rock Star. He just recorded some songs he wrote in Japanese/English/Japanese. I asked him if he knew this guy, but he hasn’t responded to my query yet. If you can sing in Japanese, you can go far in the business. Sean became tired of touring. He went to the Yamaha School of Music there for many years, and works for Yamaha now. Great teacher, Musicians rock. My son just bought a Ukelele. He is going to learn on that also. Notice I didn’t say try.
