Quitting Smoking Is Contagious
Recruit Some Help
The reasons to quit smoking are many; staying healthy is at the top of the list. Just about every smoker I know says, “I know that I should quit.” I know from experience that it is easier said than done. I quit 40 years ago and can still remember the battle. In Success Made Easy I quoted myself as saying, “It’s easy to quit smoking; I’ve done it hundreds of times.”
This article in CBS News makes the case that smokers who quit with company do better than those that go at it all alone. Check it out, pass it along, just maybe you will save a life.

Here is how I quit years ago. Smoke less and less, as you crave what you last ingested. Watch Russell Crowe in the true story, “The Insider” and learn about how they manipulate cigarettes by adding all kinds of harmful but addictive chemicals, including extra nicotine. Cigarette companies are “playing you” smokers. Hate being used and quit. Cut back, cut back, cut back, when that last pull taste icky, you are done. Set a goal, the last five cigarettes you will only smoke five pulls, then four, then three, then two, then one. Thow away all the butts and packs and you will only crave that one puff. After one day, you will start detoxifying and the cravings will pass. Picture in your minds eye all the nicotine that is coating the villi in your lungs dissolving and clearing out and your lungs going from black to pink.
Go to a sauna or the beach and sweat. Get some green tea extract and drink it in water. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables. Put the money that you spent on smokes in a piggy bank and take a vacation at the end of the year. When you are stressed and want that cigarette to be your crutch, remember that smoking kills 85% of users and find a healthy coping mechanism to lean on.
Prayer, gardening, helping others, singing, dancing, working out, talking to someone, scriptures, films, art, books, jokes. Find something that restores your faith in your fellow man to help you cope. Cigarettes are not your friend, your solution to any problem; they are self destructive slow suicide, robbing you of your health. You only have one life, why live it as an addict?

That “little by little” method won’t work for most people. You are still feeding the habit. Stop totally, once and for all!

You only live once; do everything you want while you are here.

Well, maybe you only live once, but you probably die once too, and how you live has a lot to do with how you die. Lung cancer is not only deadly, but very painful as well. Live healthy and die peacefully.

Whenever a student smoker enters the classroom most of the smarter students roll their eyes in disgust of the smell. Why would anyone want to stink like that? I can smell them from 50 yards away.

Hiiiiiiii~! (^^)/
I am officially a non-smoker! (^o^) Yayyyy~!
One of the most powerful things to make me become a non-smoker was that I had a water baptism and became a child of God. I had been praying when I went through all the domestic problems I had and God answered to my prayers. Since I learned that my prayer worked, after the baptism, I cleansed my spirit and wanted to clean my body also.
I usually shop for food at Sam’s Club. Over there, I would pick up a carton of cigarettes. But this time, I picked up the box of nicotine tablet. Coincidentally the price for the nicotine tablets were the same as the carton of cigarettes. The money was well spent this time.
===Here is how I did it====
When I decided to become a non-smoker, I prayed the night before. “Please give me the strength to become a non-smoker…” then went to bed. Next morning, first thing I did was to put the nicotine tablet in my mouth. It definitely stopped the cravings. I haven’t smoked ever since and I don’t think I want to smoke again.
===For the ladies~!===
A few days later after I stopped smoking, I noticed that the black circles around my eyes had been reduced. I would look like a sick person everymorning without make up. Now I don’t wear make up when I don’t have to because I am soooo psyched and soooo happy to look healthy without make up. (^-^)
The most wonderful thing from becoming a non-smoker is that I was able to do it. That feeling is priceless. It definitely made me gain the confidence I needed. My doctor used to tell me, “You can surprise me one day becoming a non-smoker.” Now I am excited to tell him, too. But I don’t get sick and don’t have a chance to see him because of non-smoking…LOL
===”Success made easy”book===
I was reading the book of Ron, “Success made easy” at work, and Ron mentioned,”If you want to become a non-smoker, just don’t lit another one!” I wanted to quit smoking long time ago. But I guess everything comes down to our will power when we really want to achieve something. That’s a great book, by the way. I am in sales and whenever I feel down without a customer, I read Ron’s book to bring up my spirit. Also, I use the goal card method to build up savings. It helps in my personal life,too.
Thank you, Ron! (^^)v
