1941 to 2012
Changes? Yes
I was born in 1941; Yes, that makes me 70 years old this year. My High School graduation class recently held its 50th reunion; No, I didn’t go. I have seen a lot of changes in the world since leaving high school; I don’t remember too many before that.

The cars have changed a lot too.

Sales Training
When I came across a 1941 Chevrolet Sales Training and Motivational Movie for managers recently, I made numerous observations. At first I was offended by the use of the terms, “He, Him, Man” and “Men” when referring to salespeople. In all fairness, that’s just the way it was in 1941. Today, women represent the majority of most company sales teams. My only purpose in mentioning this is that I would like for you to overlook that outdated language as you watch this movie. There is a very strong message in here for TODAY’S sales manager. I hope you get it.
If you manage people, you must see this movie:
It’s well worth the time it will take to watch this to the very end. Your comments are welcome.

great to re-view this film. Yes, they used film back in 1940, not video! every person has something important that they are very stubborn about, and i have found that i have to show people things for them to get over their fear or stubborness. once they see the results, they get excited and get over their hangups. and everyone i ever met likes when someone takes genuine interest in them and do not respond to military like discipline very well. its called nurturing, and women are very good at that. when a woman learns something, they really get it, and they get the subtle nuances generally better than us men do, its the way their brains are wired. women tend to stick to their plans better, tend to be more stable about things in general, its their nature, and so they do make really excellent sales PEOPLE.
