Want Something?

GO GET IT!

WARNING: The following advice is not for the weak hearted!
If there is something you truly want, but do not think you can afford it, figure out how to get it and then figure out how to pay for it. ”
“Fiscally minded” and “fiscally responsible” people will shudder at this advice, and I understand that, but its the way I have lived my life. As a result I have had more than a few sleepless nights and many stressful days living “over my head.” But today I am sleeping like a baby.

The Good Life

I have enjoyed driving cars that I couldn’t afford, living in houses I couldn’t afford to buy, going to exotic resorts I couldn’t afford to go to, building businesses I didn’t know how to build, written books I wasn’t qualified to write, and doing things I was was told I couldn’t do.

“There is nothing capricious in nature, and the implanting of a desire indicates that its gratification is within the creature that feels it.”
-Napoleon Hill

Simply put, “You wouldn’t want it if you were incapable of having it.”
This has worked for me… Just saying…

I used to think that i could not farm out work to others because there was not enough, or what do i do if there really is not enough?! You know what, the fact that i created a job for another fellow person and the fact that i did not want to do that work anyway seemed to make things happen that did not happen on my own. Its like the “universe” teamed up to help me make it all happen. It goes back to the saying that givers gain. I think there is appreciation from somewhere when we give something to others wether it be work, or to give a salesman a commission on a car or whatever it is. Yes things can backfire on you, but nothing happens without there first being a desire. My desire is- i do not want to do certain things, it is distracting and not fun. Had things not worked out, i would have had to re-think things and re-group, but that never happened. And again, nothing happens to anyone without the desire being put out there first. And that desire is that you want things to be different from what they are. It can be a selfish thing, or it can be a matter of peace of mind doing things differently, or that you physically or mentally cannot handle things the way they are or similar. Man proposes and God disposes, and your karma has something ultimately to do with wether you get what you desire or not. If i dont get my desires, i figure there might be a divine reason why and i accept that. I bet Ron would not have been unhappy had things not worked out for him the way he wanted them to, i am guessing he would have reflected and re-grouped and moved forward from there. You dont get anything if you dont ask for it or desire it, action springs from a starting point which is desire, make sure your desires are what you want, and that others will benefit from what you do in life.
