Aloha Thursday

“It is only through your conscious mind that you can reach the subconscious. Your conscious mind is the porter at the door, the watchman at the gate. It is to the conscious mind that the subconscious looks for all its impressions.”

Hi Ron, It’s been 25 years since I took a sales seminar of your’s at the Wharf Cinema Center in Lahaina Maui, Hi. I got a tremendous amount out of your Success Dynamics book and continue to use your selling techinques today. We have since moved to Seattle Washington and I am presently a Store Manager for Coach Inc. (Hand Bags). My building will do 4.2 million for the second year in a row. Every year at our Store Manager conference they pick a topic to educate all of us Managers . This year is “Selling”. I hope you don’t mind but I am passing your name along to my Area Manager. It’s great to see your doing what you love. Sincerely,

    Aloha Maddy,
Your comment has made all of these months of Blog posting worthwhile.
I often times wonder who’s reading what I put in here. Of course I would be delighted to have you mention me to your Area Manager, and in fact I will send you a signed copy of Retail Selling Made Easy to give to him or her. I will follow up with a personal e-mail.

I too attended Ron’s meetings close to 20 years ago, and as the manager of an art gallery in San Diego am still using what I learned way back then. Way to go Ron, and if you are ever going to be doing a presentation here, before you retire, please post the time and location. I’ll be there with all of my salespeople. Thanks for all you do for so many people.

    Aloha Ron,
ASufi story tells us of a man from Turkey who heard of a great master living in Persia who held the secret of wisdom. Without hesitating, the Turkish man sold his things, took leave of his family and went in search of this secret. After years of travelling, he arrived at a cabin where the great master lived. Filled with awe, the traveller drew closer and waited for the wise man to return from his morning stroll. ” I come from Turkey,” he said when the wise man turned up. ” I’ve made this long journey just to ask one question.”Replied the wise man, ” That’s fine. You can ask just one question.” The Turkish man took a breath. ” I have to be clear in what I am going to ask; may I ask you in Turkish? he said.
“you may, said the wise man. ” And I have already answered your only question.

    Speaking of laughter!!!!!

    Your wisdom is awesome. Ron!
    Thanks!
    Char

Aloha Ron, My comment does not really pertain to your quote today, even though it brought a smile to my lips….. Vacationing on the Mainland, I spent the past 2 hours getting “caught up” on your blog….. Many great posts and many good comments. My biggest “find” tonight was your very easy way of categorizing the posts on the Blog… GREAT way to do it and very easy to “find our way around” on anything that you may be interested in. Boy, if all Blog were this easy to “cruise”… Thanks for the entertaining. A great way to “go down memory lane” is to simply visit your photo gallery. Pictures tell it all!!! Cheers from Peter
