    Hi Ron,

I was cleaning out my jewelry box and still had my little pink envelope with my pearls in it (twins, haha) from a show I was at in 1978. At that time I was pregnant and married to a loser and had no money to have these pearls put in something. I wasn’t sure if there still was an Empress Pearls, Inc. so I googled it and came up with you. 30 years later and I’m doing better and I was wanting to finally get these pearls put in a ring or necklace for my son’s (the one I was pregnant with) first daughter. If Empress is still in business and you could direct me to their website I certainly would appreciate it.

Thanks and have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

    Linda

    Hi Ron,

Over 30 years ago, my husband and I were working for Empress Pearls and doing real good. Since that time, pearl parties are the only kind that I want to become involved in.

I have reached the “sixties” age and want to start again. I have found a great, inexpensive, place to buy oysters and have the jewelry made, but one question is, what kind of information was used to begin each party? Plus, do you know where I could find the container which was used to open the pearls? I think they were made of some kind of wood. Am I wrong there??? Or, maybe, if you could, tell me of something else which could be used.

If I’m not mistaken, I think you were the gentleman who went to Oregon to meet with all of us regarding starting our business, plus others who were there. Oklahoma is now my home and I don’t believe there are any companies that have the home parties with pearls.

It would be great to hear from you, Ron. Congratulations on living in Hawaii. I’ve always heard that it’s beautiful. Maybe my business will start good and we can take a vacation there and eventually would love to offer the trip to my consultants who sell real good.

    LaWanda

  13. Mary Says:

    Dear Ron,
I was an Empress Pearl Party demonstrator. I was 18, it was 1973. I think the local office was in Lanham MD. That is almost 40 yrs ago. I was a huge success until my car was stolen at one of my parties. I should have guessed that Empress Pearls was no longer, but I was hoping. My parents bought the zodiac necklace for my sister, who was 8 at the time. I was the chosen one to safely keep her necklace.
I am in a huge pickle. My sister is coming to visit and has mentioned her necklace more than a few times. I will be glad to give it too her as soon as I have it repaired. You see the pearl came off and it has since been lost. I am devastated. Not too mention it was a baroque pearl. Huge dilemma. I live in the Los Angeles area so I am sure that I will be able to find a place to purchase a pearl in the jewelry district.
Very interesting to have come across an Empress Pearls affiliates after all these years.
With much respect, Mary Elizabeth Collins (Headley at the time)

  14. Dorothea Scott Says:

    Hi Mr. Martin,

If you are still available to answer questions about Empress Pearls, I knew someone who sold this jewelry. I had a jewelry party myself back in the 70’s. It was quite successful. I still have my ring that I earned. It is still in good shape and looking beautiful. As I remember, this business had some pretty pearls and beautiful settings. Is there anywhere I could purchase one of these rings today? God Bless.
