SHUT UP ALREADY!!!

Or, at least tone it down.

This guy at the airport let everyone 10 rows away know about the details of the bridge his company is building. When you add his comments to the loud speakers in the airport itself and the other cell phone users screaming their business, and airport lobbies are becoming the worst noise polluters there are.

What is it about people talking on their cell phones that cause them so talk short of the scream level? It is almost as if they think they are talking on a tin can through a string.

This is yet another piece of evidence that people are not following The Golden Rule, and are becoming more and more self-centered. It doesn’t even occur to them that others may desire peace and quiet. Grrrr! (That was a quiet Grrrr.)

Even worse is that peoples car alarms set and unset with a short but violent blast from the horn. everytime it happens, which is like every 30 seconds or so, i jump out of my skin and want to cave someones head it, litterally. If people cared, they would have their car alarms flash the lights to show them its armed or disarmed. Noise is a major major problem. cars and harley davidson motorcycles have illegal, extremely loud exhaust systems that disturb everyone and they think its cool. the epitome of self centered. Police have given up on enforcing it, its easier to issue a ticket inbetween donuts, which is even more irritating. meanwhile the real problem makers get away scot free. we have laws regarding decibel levels of noise but nothing is enforced. as far as cell phone etiquette, good luck making rules about that. You are absolutely correct about the problem of talking too loud. i see people vibe out those doing that, i suppose that is as close to enforcement as we will get. Recently, state sen mike Gabbard put a bill on the floor regarding leaf blowers, trying to restrict their use, and it did not pass. i guess most people love excessive ugly noise, i would do anything to limit noise, i see it as the most pressing problem we have, it drives me up a wall when i venture outside.

I wonder about these people who are talking so loud on their cell phones in public places about their personal buisness. The other day a lady at a grocery store was giving someone her SS# very loudly. Anybody could have written it down. In this day and age of scam artists and people stealing idenity’s. I personally don’t want anyone knowing my business, especially in public places like an airport. Most of the time when you hear these conversations it’s not about a bridge being built. It’s just idle chit chat. Cell Phones have there rightful place for sure. They are convenient for many situations. But talking over everyone else just is downright rude and inconsiderate. We all have our own problems to deal with. We don’t want to hear someone eles’s. To me it shows a lack of regard for the feelings of someone else. It reminds me of the song “Your so vane you probably think this song is about you”
