One of the nice things about going to Vancouver BC is the 1st Class treatment that I always get from Steen Skaaning.
Steen is right there waiting for me when I arrive at the airport, puts me up in the finest hotels, and insists on paying for the “incidentals”.
On this trip I was even taken on a Sunday sight seeing trip with his wife and daughter.
I am taken to the finest restaurants, and then driven back to the airport (30 minutes away) by Steen himself. There are no cabs or self service for me in Vancouver.
As always, I set out to pay my way; Steen just sets the bar real high, so we all win.
By comparison, in Las Vegas the airport is 10 minutes away from the hotel, and the town car tab was $45 each way, PLUS a $10 tip.

I had a chance to advertise Brighton today, when Steen Skaaning took me to the top of Grouse Mountain above Vancouver, BC. Check it out here: http://www.grousemountain.com/

Grouse Mountain is a major local ski attraction in the winter time, and just an all around beautiful spot in the summer. A gondola takes you on a magnificent sight seeing trip to 4,100 feet above sea level in eight minutes.

One of the highlights of Grouse Mountain is the living quarters for Grinder and Koola; two full grown grizzly bears that were abandoned as cubs. They were rescued and brought to Grouse Mountain to live out a peaceful life in a huge enclosure built just for them.
They were napping today, (I was jealous) so we did not get a good look at them.

Willie Nishi and I found ourselves on the same flight to Las Vegas yesterday.
I am not a gambler, but if I see a place to gamble on the number 37 I will.
Willie is celebrating 37 great years with ABC Stores. With six (or more) ABC Stores in Las Vegas he may have chosen a tough place to “get away”.
As for me, we have clients all over this place so I feel right at home.

I am off to Las Vegas to meet with Team Lassen Las Vegas, attend two Lassen art shows and watch Masae tote full shopping bags around The Forum Shops.

I will leave Las Vegas on Sunday to go to INspiration in Vancouver, BC; more on that later.
